Dr. Belzberg serves as director of the Peripheral Nerve Center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He visits the St. Petersburg campus once a month to see patients in our multidisciplinary Peripheral Nerve Clinic. His specialties include the surgical repair of injured nerves, removal of nerve tumors and decompression of nerve entrapments. Dr. Belzberg also focuses on spinal surgery, including the surgical management of degenerative spine problems, tumors and minimally invasive spinal surgery.
Dr. Belzberg also is co-director, Neurosurgery Pain Research Institute, George J. Heuer Professor of Neurosurgery, co-director, Kennedy Krieger Pediatric Nerve Injury Program and professor of neurosurgery in Baltimore.
He earned his medical degree and completed a neurosurgery residency and fellowship at the University of Calgary. He also completed training in pain medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
