Kelly Grogan, MD

Pediatric Anesthesiology
Dr. Grogan specializes in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2022. She was previously an anesthesiologist with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and assistant professor of anesthesiology in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has also held positions with the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Kartha specializes in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the medical staff in 2005. He is an assistant professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr. Kartha earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. He completed a transitional residency at Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center and an anesthesiology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, both in Chicago. Dr. Kartha completed a clinical fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto.

Gerson Rodriguez-Fazzi, MD

Gerson Rodriguez-Fazzi, MD

Pediatric Anesthesiology
Dr. Rodriguez-Fazzi specializes in pediatric anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 1999. He also is dedicated to providing anesthesia in complex cardiac procedures. Dr. Rodriguez-Fazzi earned his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He interned at Louisiana State University Medical Center and trained in anesthesiology at the University of South Florida. Dr. Rodriguez-Fazzi completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, through Northwestern University. He is fluent in Spanish.

Lauren Freedman, CRNA

Lauren Freedman is a staff certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) and clinical coordinator. After completing her undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, Freedman was a pediatric intensive care nurse at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She then obtained her Master of Science from the University of Maryland. After graduating as a CRNA in 2007, she started practicing at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and relocated to Johns Hopkins All Children's in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2014. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice. Her passion has always been pediatrics, medical missions and lecturing whenever possible.

Katherine Khokhar, CRNA

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Pediatric Anesthesiology
Katherine Khokhar received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Covenant College in 2002. She went on to complete her undergraduate degree in nursing at Kennesaw State University in 2003. Khokhar worked as a cardiovascular intensive care unit nurse at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. She obtained her Master of Science at the University of South Florida in 2012 and began her career as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). She has worked at several hospitals and surgery centers in the Pinellas County area and joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2017 as a full-time staff CRNA. She joined the cardiac anesthesia team the 2020.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Florida State University, Kendall Parker was a nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She then obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia University. She worked as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and University of Kentucky Hospital prior to returning to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2020. She is currently the interim APP/CRNA manager.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Pediatric Anesthesiology
Kimberly Rowland is a senior staff certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). After completing her undergraduate studies at Clayton College and State University, Rowland was both an adult cardiac surgical intensive care nurse at Emory University Hospital as well as a pediatric cardiac intensive care nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She obtained her Master of Science from Barry University. After graduating as a CRNA, she began practicing anesthesia at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, and then joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s in 2012. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Rowland’s passion has always been cardiac anesthesia.

Kristen Yoquelet, CRNA DNP

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Pediatric Anesthesiology
Kristen Yoquelet specializes in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2006. Yoquelet is dedicated to caring for complex, cardiac patients in the cardiac operating room and cardiac catheterization lab. She graduated magna cum laude from the Medical College of Georgia with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then completed the nurse anesthesia program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and was honored with the award for academic excellence. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Florida where her clinical research dissertation was titled “The Success of Early Extubation in Neonates and Infants After Congenital Heart Surgery.”
